Business Information Platforms are at the core of all successful and growing businesses. This is true across all markets or industries. Business Platforms either support the business or they are the business.

Invariably, each platform relies heavily on a combination of components in order to be useful and/or add value to the business. Each market or industry demands certain types of platforms, services and practices. And each business requires variations on the platforms, services and practices in order to apply competitive differentiation. Not all platforms are created equal. And not all platforms are equally valuable.

Our 30 plus years of embedded experience and knowledge capital provides DG with a unique assessment on how platforms are valuable to a business. We view platforms as an integrated set of methodologies, practices, services and technologies wrapped in the business ‘know how’ and the business ‘needs’.

Each platform is differentiated by the business it delivers and/or supports. Platforms that are not integrated or arrayed across multiple ‘silos’ are a challenge to a business in several areas. Many times a ‘green field’ approach is not possible to extract value, economics or greater growth and success from non-integrated platforms.
